Terms of Use
Effective date: October 26, 2026
These terms cover your use of CrowdPlay, which Carlyle Media LLC ("we", "us") provides. CrowdPlay includes the CrowdPlay Twitch Extension, the CrowdPlay desktop app, the CrowdPlay game mods, and crowdplaymod.com. By using CrowdPlay, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use CrowdPlay.
1. Who can use CrowdPlay
You must be at least 13 and allowed to use Twitch. You must also follow Twitch's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and any terms Twitch sets for Bits and Extensions. Streamers are responsible for their own channel and stream.
2. How it works
Streamers install the CrowdPlay desktop app and supported game mods on their own computer, then add the Extension to their Twitch channel. Viewers use the Extension to trigger named in-game effects that the streamer has turned on. Effects happen in the streamer's game on their computer. Viewers do not need to download anything.
3. Bits
- Bits are a Twitch product. Twitch handles every Bits purchase, payment and receipt, and its own terms apply.
- Using Bits in CrowdPlay triggers the named effect shown at the price shown. It does not give you ownership of anything, and nothing you get has cash value.
- Bits used are not refundable through us. We work to show only effects that can run right now. If an effect fails to run, the streamer decides how to make it right, for example by triggering it again.
- Streamers set prices from the list CrowdPlay offers. We may change that list.
4. Streamer responsibilities
- Choose effects that suit your audience and follow Twitch's rules. Some effects are marked as harmful or mature and are off by default.
- Back up your saves. CrowdPlay mods change running games. Effects are designed not to break games permanently, but games and mods can behave unexpectedly, and you use them at your own risk.
- Keep your computer, Twitch login and CrowdPlay pairing secure.
- Make sure you have the right to install the mods in the games you use.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse CrowdPlay. In particular, don't:
- try to fake, replay or tamper with redeems or Bits transactions
- attack, overload or reverse-engineer our server, or get around its limits
- use CrowdPlay to harass anyone or break Twitch's rules or the law
We may suspend access for anyone who does.
6. Our software and content
We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use CrowdPlay as intended. CrowdPlay's code, name and artwork belong to Carlyle Media LLC. Game names and assets belong to their owners. CrowdPlay is not made, approved or endorsed by Twitch or by any game publisher.
7. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop parts of CrowdPlay, including supported games and effects. We don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. If we change these terms, we'll update the effective date. Continuing to use CrowdPlay after a change means you accept it.
8. Disclaimer
CROWDPLAY IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, CARLYLE MEDIA LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST SAVE DATA, PROGRESS, REVENUE OR PROFITS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT WE RECEIVED FROM YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Utah.
